Public Broadcasting in the time of Great Games: Fata Casestudy

  1. Very insightful. Really impressed with Kuch Khas. Rudyard Kiplings Great Game (Kim).  Everybody i.e Daniel Yergin, Ahmed Rashid, Peter Hopkirk, too many to name, no one has ever raised the importance of radio waves conquering hearts and minds of the locals (on either side of the Durand Line). Most cellphones today have an in built radio. Applying the BBC Radio Bush House concept. Very eloquent, reminded me of Hala Gorani (CNN). I think you should consolidate and develop it further, must write about it. Radio waves are the much needed bulwark against militancy. Radio Broadcasts can also be used in conjunction with Polling on issues via SMS text messages, I've often watched an Indian cellphone add "What an Idea", so listeners can SMS there vote on an issue. It will make them feel franchised (which they are not under FCR), they'll feel "connected" with the rest of us. I really wish we had a forum such as Kuch Khas. Yeah we have the KU, which is like the other side of the world (its like 2 hours drive).  Please upload the rest of it. Wish you the best, stay safe!
